Please join us for the third annual 606 Block Party: A Walk with Neighbors— a day-long celebration of the community spirit of The 606. Take part in A Walk with Neighbors, listen to live music at two stages, and celebrate the start of summer with a community-centered street festival on Humboldt Boulevard featuring hands-on fun for all ages. Admission is free.
The 606 Block Party activities kick off at 10 a.m. and include music performances by Jonathan Langford and the Four Lost Souls, Cumbanchero: A Tribute to Rafael Hernandez, ¡ ESSO! Afrojam Funkbeat and others; beer from Revolution Brewing, a bicycle rodeo, poetry, crafts, and more.
Show your community spirit with A Walk with Neighbors! Here’s how:
1. Gather your neighbors—your block club, soccer team, walking buddies—and make a plan to walk over to The 606 Block Party together. Wear your colors! Make some noise! Register at bit.ly/WalkwithNeighbors and then check your group in at The Trust for Public Land’s information tent for a special treat.
2. Join the Grand Promenade on Humboldt Boulevard between 4 and 5:30 p.m. when Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center and Puerto Rico’s Y No Habia Luz will headline a musical spectacle and carnival-style comparsa.
3. Make a free lighted object during the Illumination Hour then join the Illuminated Procession at 8:30 p.m.

Over 25 community organizations will provide hands-on activities including live graffiti painting, a bike corral, tinker toy towers, and a whimsical obstacle course.
Illumination Stations (6:30p.m.-8:30 p.m.)
Make an illuminated UFO, light house, boat or lantern to carry with you in the illuminated procession that will close the festivities.

Comparsa—4-5:30 p.m.
A musical spectacle will descend from The Bloomingdale Trail and snake through the Humboldt festival site. The lineup includes Environmental Encroachment, Kaotic Drum Corps, Four-Star Brass Band, Bloco Maxim, Los Pleneros de Don Segundo and from Puerto Rico, Y No Habia Luz. Join the fun!
Illuminated Procession 8:30-9p.m.
Carry the light from the festival home with you. Make an illuminated object on-site then join Opera-Matic, Y No Habia Luz, Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center and West Town Bikes as they light your way home along the Bloomingdale Trail.

¡Hola, vecino!
Acompáñenos en la tercera fiesta de vecindario anual del 606 (The 606 Block Party), un día entero para celebrar el espíritu de comunidad del 606. Participa en Una caminata con los vecinos, escucha música en vivo en dos escenarios y celebra el comienzo del verano con un festival callejero centrado en la comunidad en Humboldt Boulevard con actividades muy entretenidas para todas las edades. La entrada es gratuita.
