What is The Great 606 Challenge? Imagine an event that feels like a cross between a scavenger hunt and TV’s The Amazing Race—but without the time pressure or TV cameras! The Great 606 Challenge is one of our People’s Promenades—quarterly celebrations designed to bring the community together to explore The 606 park and trail system and walk the Bloomingdale Trail from end to end.
You can choose either Walsh Park or The Ridgeway Trailhead as your starting point where you’ll receive a map and a series of challenges. At the end-point (either Walsh or Ridgeway), you’ll receive a hero’s welcome and a collectible prize for completing the challenge. Plan on a two-hour event.
Alternate location: Ridgeway Trailhead, 1800 N. Ridgeway
